Why isn't believr available in every country?

We wish we could be open in every single country but it's a little more complicated than us wanting to be open.

Two main reasons:

1. We are incredibly protective of our users. Some countries have laws that do the opposite of protecting our users. For example - there are still countries where being LGBTQ+ is a "capital offense".
2. We have to comply with local data privacy regulations. From GDPR to CCPA. Data privacy laws are ever-changing and extremely complex. We have to comply with the laws of the country that we're entering. That includes updating the app and going through a lengthy legal review of our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other policies. We're a small team so entering a new country is extremely time-intensive and expensive.
