Why am I being connected with people far away from me?

First - let's talk about what it means to be part of the LGBTQ+ Christian Community. If you're in the United States as of this writing there are 331 million people ( source). There are roughly 11.3 million LGBT people in the United States. Of the 11.3 million LGBT people roughly 4.2 million identify as Christian (source). That's a lot of people. But when you start adding on preferences that number gets smaller ... quickly. Let's say that 50% are in a relationship. Okay, now we're down to 2.1 million. Now let's say you're only interested in gay men - as you can imagine that would decrease the number again. For reference - the population of Los Angels County in California is 9.8 million (source). 

Now don't fret. believr is a growing app and people join daily. We're the largest and most well-known LGBTQ Christian App in the world. The more you filter or have preferences the harder it's going to be to find someone for you in the same city, state, region, or country.
